HMR began in Melbourne, Australia in the early 1980’s as a recovery operation for precious metals, extracting silver from photographic film and film developing solutions. The business expanded into computer breakage as well as repairing and reselling units that were previously destined for destruction.

From our start in electronics products, HMR has since broadened its scope to become a Full Service Asset Management Company. “Full Service” means that we work with our clients to assure that their redundant assets are re-marketed, recycled or de-manufactured in the most efficient and environmentally responsible way, while conforming to the HMR Product Stewardship Policy.
